We understand you might have questions about chiropractic care and our services. Here are some of the most common inquiries we receive:
Q: What is chiropractic care and what conditions does it treat?
A: Chiropractic care is a holistic healthcare practice that focuses on optimizing your body's function by improving the alignment of your spine. By addressing misalignments, known as subluxations, chiropractors can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall well-being. This approach is often used to treat conditions such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica.
Q: What techniques do your chiropractors use?
A: Our doctors are graduates of Palmer College of Chiropractic and are skilled in a variety of techniques. They utilize both instrument-assisted techniques, such as Activator and ArthroStim, as well as manual (hands-on) techniques. This allows them to tailor their approach based on what is best and safest for each individual patient.
Q: What is Red Light Therapy and how can it help me?
A: Red light therapy is a groundbreaking treatment that harnesses the power of light to promote increased metabolism, fat reduction, and overall well-being. This innovative technology offers a gentle, non-invasive approach to enhance your body's natural functions, supporting pain relief, muscle recovery, skin rejuvenation, and enhanced healing.
Q: What are Muscular Rehabilitation and Soft Tissue Mobilization therapies, and who are they for?
A: These therapies are designed for individuals experiencing muscle tension, tightness, limited motion due to muscle pain, persistent discomfort from injuries, or muscle and ligament pains during pregnancy. We offer techniques like trigger point release, myofascial release, electrical muscle stimulation, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and pin-and-stretch to alleviate pain, increase range of motion, decrease inflammation, and facilitate healing.
Q: Do you offer Spinal Decompression Therapy?
A: Yes, we offer Spinal Decompression Therapy. This non-surgical, non-invasive treatment can help relieve back pain caused by conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and sciatica by gently decompressing the spine to reduce inflammation and pain.
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: Perhealth Chiropractic & Wellness Center does NOT participate directly with most insurance networks, including Advantage Plans. Our focus is on providing the highest quality care directly to you, rather than being dictated by insurance companies.
We do accept Traditional Medicare Part B for spinal manipulation/adjustment to correct a subluxation. However, Medicare does NOT cover other services or tests, such as examinations. Your new patient exam fee of $60 is due at the time of service.
If you have a PPO plan that accepts out-of-network assignment, you may self-submit your receipts for direct reimbursement. You can also use your FSA/HSA card to pay for your visits.
Q: How long are treatment sessions for muscular rehabilitation and soft tissue mobilization?
A: Depending on your specific needs, an appointment for these therapies can range from 10-30 minutes of treatment. Please note that these specific therapies are not covered by Medicare.
Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: We encourage you to visit our website or call us directly to schedule your appointment. For new patients, please be aware that completing new patient paperwork prior to your appointment is recommended. You may receive it via email, or you can arrive 20 minutes early to complete it in-office.
Q: Where are you located?
